Hello friends #hivers, I hope you all have a great start to the weekend. Special for walking, sightseeing and doing what the rest of the week doesn't allow us to do with its frenetic pace, each of us busy in our professions or jobs.

Searching the #HIVE blockchain for new sources of inspiration for my content I came across this post by @miriannalis showing something as simple as the path of a worm and choosing it to participate in the contest called Less is More.

The aim of the contest is to choose an image, in a minimalist environment, surrounded by a calm atmosphere, and explain its behaviour in that environment.

Taking advantage of a few days of holidays I travelled to the Argentinean Patagonia where I have friends and relatives and I was able to take some pictures of extraordinary beauty.

I am just an amateur photographer, with all the limitations that this implies, but I really enjoy photographing nature in any of its expressions.

Hola amigos #hivers, espero que tangan todos un buen inicio de fin de semana. Especial para pasear, recorrer lugares y hacer lo que el resto de la semana no nos permite con su ritmo frenético ocupados cada uno en nuestras profesiones o trabajos.

Buscando en la blockchain de #HIVE nuevas fuentes de inspiración para mis contenidos me encontré con este post de @miriannalis mostrando algo tan simple como el recorrido de un gusano y eligiéndolo para participar en el Concurso denominado Menos es Más.

El objetivo del concurso es elegir una imagen, en un ambiente minimalista, circundada de un ambiente tranquilo, y explicar su comportamiento en ese ambiente.

Aprovechando unos días de vacaciones viajé hasta la Patagonia argentina donde tengo amigos y parientes y pude sacar algunas fotos de extraordinaria belleza.

Soy simplemente un fotógrafo aficcionado, con todas las limitaciones que ello implica, pero me gusta mucho fotografiar la naturaleza en cualesquiera de sus expresiones.

The bandurria is a typical bird of the Patagonian area and feeds especially on insects found underground with its long curved beak, preferring relatively humid areas, near rivers, lakes or even in the city itself.

These photos were taken in the Andean Region where there are many of these birds and what is really striking is that they coexist in a totally peaceful way with the inhabitants of the cities (not too big in Patagonia, between 30,000-40,000 inhabitants) and with the rest of the animals.

They even have their chicks nesting in the same city and are not disturbed by dogs, cats or other domestic animals.

They are not even afraid of people.

In the photos, as you can see, taken without zoom, I am only a few metres away from the bandurria, which slowly explores the ground looking for the exact place where it can stick its beak and surely pick up an insect.

The concentration of the bandurrias in this task is remarkable. They manage to totally isolate themselves from the outside world and, despite being a relatively wild bird -not tameable- they concentrate with that kind of radar in their head looking for the right spot to bite. They are unlikely to make a mistake and pull their beak out of the ground empty.

Another peculiar characteristic is that, unlike other birds, they spend more time walking than flying.

La bandurria es un ave tipica de la zona patagónica y se nutre especialmente de insectos que encuentra bajo tierra y su largo pico curvo, prefiriendo las zonas relativamente húmedas, cercanas a ríos, lagunas o incluso en la misma ciudad.

Estas fotos están sacadas en la Comarca Andina donde hay gran cantidad de estas aves y lo verdaderamente llamativo es que conviven en manera totalmente pacífica con los habitantes de las ciudades (no demasiado grandes en la patagonia, entre 30.000-40.000 habitantes) y con el resto de los animales.

Incluso tienen sus polluelos haciendo nidos en la misma ciudad y no son molestadas ni por perros, ni por gatos o algún otro animal doméstico.

Incluso no temen a las personas.

En las fotos como pueden ver, obtenidas sin zoom, ne encuentro a pocos metros de distancia de la bandurria que, lentamente va explorando el terreno buscando el lugar exacto donde clavar su pico y sacar seguramente un insecto.

Es notable la concentración de las bandurrias en esta tarea. Logran aislarse totalmente del mundo exterior y, a pesar de ser un ave relativamente salvaje -no domesticable- se concentran con esa especie de radar que tienen en su cabeza buscando el punto justo para picar. Difícilmente se equivoquen y saquen el pico de la tierra vacío.

Otra característica peculiar es que, a diferencia de otras aves, pasan más tiempo caminando que volando.
